I don't know how exactly express my thankfulness to Marco Aurélio
(specially) and Jonathan. Your help has been very important to me. The
AuthBackend_LDAP class works very well and it's what I was looking for.
Now, I ALMOST have my system perfectly running, with authentication
provided by LDAP and storage provided by MySQL.<br>
But, while reading the class code, I don't understand a pair of
things at all. <br>

In "authenticate" function, it appears next:<br>
<br>
$result = @ldap_bind($this->conn, $user['dn'], $password);<br>
$result = ldap_bind($this->conn, $this->bind_username,
$this->bind_password);<br>
<br>
Because of I'm quite "rookie" in LDAP, I don't know where exactly the
authentication is made. Before these lines, the "get_ldap_user"
function is called. There, it's made a search (ldap_search) in order to
match the "$username" in "base_dn", isn't it?<br>
<br>
Then, I obtain "$user" thanks to "ldap_get_entries". Well, what I don't
understand is why "ldap_bind" is necessary twice then. Please, "light"
me with the LDAP authentication. <br>
