2.1.1 PHP issues

Hi all,
I've upgraded to 2.1.1 to try again - running the latest PHP 5
install...
See my original post:
http://lists.openidenabled.com/pipermail/dev/2008-May/001279.html
I'm still getting a major fail on PHP when I run a hard-coded begin
auth:
Successfully fetched 'http://mfurdyk.myopenid.com/': GET response code
200
*** glibc detected *** malloc(): memory corruption: 0x0000000000d28780
***
Aborted
I tried running it with an old PHP 4 binary, and got this (maybe it was
an issue with the PHP binary)
<b>Fatal error</b>: No XML parser was found in
<b>/usr/local/lib/php/Auth/Yadis/XML.php</b> on line <b>366</b><br />
Although detect.php does detect that our server is ready to run
php-openid, maybe I'm missing something else? We'd really like to move
ahead with this so any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Michael
