PHP OpenID Server: src/render.php : apache_request_headers() : Help

In src/render.php In function function render_identityPage($method, &$request, &$template) at line 266

$headers = apache_request_headers();

which is used for detecting HTTP HEADER, Accept: application/xrds+xml


My apache web server  doesn't  support   apache_request_headers() function. how can I have an alternative way to get it done?

Anyone can help me please?
